Hello. im a 22 year old male, 5'10" and weigh around 223 pounds. so on the 14th of October i got a laparoscopic appendectomy surgery and was discharged a on the 15th. For the past few days i have been taking off my the gauze and leaving the strips of tape on the incision, as i was informed when taking a shower. After showering and cleaning the incision area with soap water i have been patting it dry with gauze. Then when im done drying it, i have been covering the incision area with gauze and some medical tape. My question is, should i continue to do things the way i have been or leave the gauze out after drying the area? i have my followup with my surgeon this upcoming Thursday but been having some anxiety over it. please let me know what i should do.
