Burning back and ribs pain for the last 6 weeks. Muscle Strain or should I go to the ER?

6 weeks ago I began having a burning sensation on the left erector muscle in my middle back. Over the course of the last several weeks, I now have burning discomfort in a few different spots on my back. I’ve also been sick (allergies) during this time and cough up normal mucus from time to time.

I’ve become really concerned because I now get burning pains under the ribs on the front side of my chest.

All of the pain is random. Half of the day I don’t notice any pain at all, but at this moment my back and ribs are burning.

I’ve had poor posture/body mechanics in the past but I’ve corrected those and the back is not improving. It’s not radicular disc pain, it’s just localized burning “spots” in my middle and Lower back and “under” each rib.

Should I go to the ER for this? Is this just a muscle strain due to poor posture/work ergonomics that needs more time to heal? Please help, I’m worried. I’m a bit of a hypochondriac.
