I will do my best to be detailed but brief. FYI - I work in the medical field.
30 y/o caucasian F, 5'8", 275 lbs. Dx with PCOS in 2010, appendectomy in 2013, other than that no significant PMH. I take Lexapro 10 mg/daily, Clonazepam .5 mg as needed (prescribed 20/3 months), oral contraceptive, and OTC omeprazole as needed for heartburn.
I started having an ache in March 2019 in a very specific place in my RUQ - basically feels like it's right under the bottom of my rib cage. It comes and goes but has been near daily for at least the last month. I would say it almost feels like a gas bubble trapped there but, again, it has been persistent for 6 months. On a pain scale of 1-10, I'd say it is as worst a 4, and more regularly hovers around a 2 - it's uncomfortable, but not painful.
In March 2019 when this started bothering me, I had a fairly comprehensive workup.
-RUQ ultrasound with visualization of the pancreas/right kidney/gallbladder/liver with no significant findings.
-HIDA scan resulted normal
-CMC, CBC w/ Auto Diff, Lypase all normal
I do drink, I don't smoke nicotine, do smoke weed occasionally (1/week tops)
I am going for a f/u visit tomorrow because it seems highly abnormal that I would have this pain this persistently, but I definitely have some medical anxiety so would appreciate any advice!
