I'm male, 30, 5'11" 185 lbs last time I weighed myself, and white.
I smoked for 13 years and quit last month and a half ago due to a constant wheezing I felt in chest. Wheezing cleared up with in two weeks of quitting VA clinic said that it was nothing serious but it scared me enough to quit anyway. But now my pulse feels weaker. My heart rate is noticeably slower. Occasionally I get light headed No more than once a week. and have almost passed out twice. This will happen even when I've been resting for hours. Occasionally It will feel like my heart beat will "jump" and It forces me to cough several times and it feels normal afterword.
I'm on no medication. I used nicotine patches to help quit. I am currently off of them by a week and a half. I don't smoke much weed. No more than 1 or two hits a week. But I do drink coffee daily since I work night shift.
My family does have a minor history of low blood pressure. And my father had been grounded from flying and put on blood thinners before, but I'm not sure what the issue was exactly.
Is this normal for someone who's been smoking for years who has suddenly quit. or is this more serious than my body having a hard time adjusting? I keep trying to google common things people notice when they quit smoking and everyone's talking about smelling flowers, and things that don't have to do with me being scared shit-less about my heart stopping suddenly.
Should I get one of those fit bit smart watches or something to track this better?
