2 days ago at work I had this weird shooting pain in and around my belly button. I thought my pants got caught on my belly button ring or something, but it didnāt. I ignored it and kept working. A couple hours later I started to get sharp pain right under my belly button and slightly off to the right on my lower abdomen. When I touch that area itās tender and painful (not enough to have me screaming in pain though). If I make a sudden movement, laugh, or sneeze/cough itās uncomfortably painful. I got up too fast yesterday and the pain hit me so suddenly I doubled over for a second. I thought menstrual cramps possibly - since Iām due to start my period this weekend. But this feels different than menstrual cramp pain. This aches only on this side and under my belly button. I havenāt had diarrhea, and I havenāt been constipated either. Iāve been dizzy and sweating more than usual, on top of feeling exhausted because itās hard to find a comfortable sleeping position. Iām debating on going to the emergency room (my cousinās appendix burst without any sign beforehand, so that scares me) but I have the type of family that brushes that stuff off and tells me Iām just ābeing a babyā about it and that Iām fine. Iāve been reading that I would be in much more noticeable pain if it were my appendix, but something about this makes me feel uneasy. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
