I’ve been constantly sick since September

Since September of 2018 I have repeatedly gotten colds every single month and sometimes twice a month. These colds range from a mild stuffy nose to body aches and throwing up. I have repeatedly gotten my entire family sick as well. So much so that now my mother has pneumonia and is taking a steroid that heightens her risk of infection and death from sepsis a lot of she gets sick again.

At first we thought it was due to me biting my nails since I’ve been a chronic nail biter since I was little. I got colds when I was young of course but no where near as much as I do now even when I was biting my nails. I stopped biting my nails but yesterday we realized I was sick again.

Due to this, I’m worried that maybe my immune system isn’t doing too well. I don’t know whether I should see the doctor or not or if there is anything I can do. Could this be an immune disorder or something else? I don’t want to get my mom infected and end up hurting her.
