Vertigo, SOB when falling asleep
Post Body

Hi guys. Its 8 am and I cant get any sleep. Sorry if im not very coherent, im not feeling very well and english is not my native lagnuage. Anyway. Im ill with something and I need help.

Im a 26 yo caucasian male. 170cm 75kg. I dont take any medications. Last summer I was out exercising and suddenly started to feel very ill. Nasuea and vertigo. Since then I have been getting these attacks irregurarly about once a month, often lingering a couple of days, gradually lifting. Ive been to 2 different doctors, but I dont feel they are much help; essentially guessing its only anxiety attacks and wanting to put me on SSRI just to see if it helps. Im not ruling that out but I dont believe its plausible to be the sole reason although im fairly certain stress does play a role. I did do some tests like EKG, some blood tests, and i have a peak flow meter which never gives me results <550. My blood preasure looked rather high at first but was later normal.

I should try and keep this reasonably short. Generally I get these attacks when ive stayed up too late which I really tend to do. In summary my symptoms are:

vertigo Blurred vision Nausea Shortness of breath. Sometimes rather severe. Once I started passing out because it (felt) like I didnt get any air. My oxygen levels approx 10-15 minutes later were fine though. lately mostly wheezing and feeling blocked up. Blowing the peak flow meter feels like it widens my throat back up actually. Sweating, like warm waves through my body

Other things ive noticed during the attacks: Nasal congestion slight headaches in the back of my head/neck Small bouts of sharp pain in the left side lower rib area. Ive had these since I was a kid and theyre not nearly as strong on these occasions as they have sometimes been in the past but often seem to happen during the attacks. Burping. Sometimes I think this is the entire problem. Heart racing. Tingling

Like I said these attacks generally begin late at night but not only then. Most commonly I get like an aura I guess you can call it and then just when Im about to fall asleep the world starts spinning rather violently, I gasp for air feeling like I have forgotten to breathe, and also like my heart has forgotten to beat.

Thats alot but theres a million info still I left out. Any ideas? Im forever grateful even for ideas.
