Sudden neck pain behind ear. How to tell if serious or not?

Sudden pain behind left ear. On the third day of this pain. It feels as if my neck needs to be constantly rubbed and/or stretched to the right. I did feel a pimple alil bit below the pressure point. I don’t feel like the two are related because it isn’t a throbbing headache pain. It’s more of a huge discomfort. I’ve tried Tylenol/ibuprofen and it didn’t take away the discomfort. Last weekend, I lifted my brothers heavy wheelchair up a flight of stairs about 3 times. I could have possibly pulled something. I was going to go to urgent care but I assume they will just tell me to stretch.
