I can't maintain an erection while standing up - 34 M
Post Body

Hello everyone, this is a bit embarassing but I've struggled with erections my whole life. Even when i was in my early 20's I never felt like I had a strong erection and it was almost impossible to get one while standing. Sometimes it feels like the muscles in my lower abdomen are tired and if I try to maintain one for longer periods, think like 15 minutes, it's like it just gives up and deflates. I've spoken to my doctor about this and he has mostly blown me off, but did check Testosterone levels which came back ok. I am a little overweight, about 215 pounds, but even when I was 20 and in great shape it was like this.

I know this is probably wrong to do, but I have tried a friends viagra to see what it does. Well, I can confidently say that the response is very stiff and strong, but again it just gives up after about 20-30 minutes. I'm not looking for a professional career in mainting erections, but sometimes sex can last longer. This issue has made me self concious, too, so sometimes going into situations I can't even get an erection because I know it will be a problem.

Do you have any advice? Should I try doing Kegles? Things I can get checked for? I've been embarassed by this to push further, but I'm sure if I told my doctor I wanted to see a specialist he would listen.
