34 male. Obese. Active with work due to active and outside job but still overweight.
I woke up in the middle of the night with severe sudden pain on my lower left thigh in a pretty localized small area, above the knee on the outside of the thigh. It felt like a burning and sharp pain. It lasted for about 30 seconds. It was also numb in the affected area. Not warm that I can remember. And pain upon palpitation and rubbing the area after the fact. The numbness has subsided mostly after being on my feet and working all day. I have health anxiety and Dr Google said it could be a DVT. I don’t have any skin discoloration on my leg. It doesn’t appear to be swollen. And does not hurt when I walk or stand. I have read that a DVT will present with skin discoloration and swelling, as well as pain when walking or standing. Which I don’t have.
For reference, I’m on meds for hypertension which is controlling it. No other medical diagnoses. Cholesterol is good. No diabetes. I sleep mostly on my left side.
I also read it could possibly be meralgia paresthetica.
Any help or advice would be nice.
