Phlegm for weeks after illness in early to mid November along with fatigue , 30 year old male , fatigue and phlegm haven’t stopped
Post Body

Hi docs

30 year old male, exercise frequently, take vitamin d , protein , multivitamin. No medications, no chronic health issues. Generally pretty healthy .

I got sick back in early to mid November with a flu which I think turned into bronchitis (no formal diagnosis).

Two lingering symptoms are excess mucus , specifically in my throat and general high levels of fatigue. I’ve been taking mucinex every day for the last two weeks to help combat the mucus and it has thinned the mucus but it’s till present. I am also much more fatigued and low mood than usual. I feel like following the infection the excess mucus production never stopped (improved from when I was very sick) and the fatigue and low mood also never stopped yet.

Any thoughts?

I was prescribed antibiotics which did not help whatsoever , so I don’t think it was bacterial

Thanks
