So I was in a bad car accident on the 9th. Basically trashed both my knees and my left ankle. Was in the hospital for 2 weeks They operated on everything. There's now plates and pins and all those joints. But when I was talking to the doctor the day before I left he said that eventually they will have to do a knee replacement on my left knee. I'm just curious as to why they wouldn't have just gone ahead and done that knowing that it will need to be done in the future? I'm non weight bearing for 2 to 3 months on both legs already, seems like kind of a waste of effort to do all that work and then have to come back and 10 years and do a knee replacement anyway.
