My (35m) gut is still 45 inches after losing 35 pounds. Is this something I should see my doctor for or is it just something that happens?
Post Body

Just wondering how common this is? I'm approximately 15-20 lbs heavier than my roommate (36F) she is a bit taller but not by much, 2-3 inches? Her diameter is 35, a whole 10 inches less than mine. I'm in physically better shape but my body shape is humiliating. I look like Dr Eggman (cartoon version). It does seem that I've hit a plateau at 205 lbs and it fluctuates a little but I'm more concerned about how bulbous I am than how much I weigh. Last checkup I've had, I was told I'm doing great. Quit drinking alcohol, 276 days sober, been dieting and eating better, and going to the gym 3 times a week (most weeks). I've been at the exercise and dieting for about 5 months and was put in something like Ozempic for diabetes 2 months ago. I suspect that definitely helped some of the recent weight loss. So if you have any insight on what's going on with me I'd love to hear something. I've been feeling really bad about myself and if there's anything I can do I will do it. I've already made the decision to make the changes but it's looking like something is amiss. Should I talk to my doctor?
