Hello! 32 year old male here, looking for a little advice. Back in April of 2023, I woke up one morning with a sore spot in my throat when I swallowed, felt kinda like it's on the front of my throat, just right of my Adam's apple, didn't think much of it, moved on, well it never went away. I went to my ENT whom had removed my uvula some years back due to a polyp growing on it, he put a scope up my nose, down my throat, and said that he didn't see anything but some redness from reflux, and put me on Omeprazole. Took the Omeprazole, heartburn went away, but the pain never really subsided. Fast forward to June of 23, I was shaving one day and noticed a lump on the right side of my Adam's apple, so I called my normal doctor this time, as my ENT was booked out for a few months, went in, they wanted to check my thyroid, did an ultrasound, did a thyroid hormone test, according to them, they didn't see anything, and thyroid levels and size looked normal, and referred me back to my ENT.... I go back to the ENT in October of 2023, minded you the lump is still there, and the pain from swallowing. ENT did another scope through the nose, down the throat, everything looked fine, he felt the lump, and ordered another ultrasound of the area, and a CT. Both the ultrasound and CT showed no sign of anything abnormal, yet the visible lump is still there. He explained that it seems that the top of the thyroid cartilage on the right side is inflamed, but did not offer any reason as to why, or did not want to do anything further at the time. I was not satisfied with that, and I went to a second ENT for a second opinion. This ENT felt it, said that he believed there may be some muscular issue etc, and wanted me to do some speech therapy?... And I never heard back from them at all... So fast forward to April 2024, I went back to the original ENT as my Omeprazole script ran out, he felt my neck, noted no change in the lump, looked at my throat, it looked fine to him. So basically, now today, I have this lump, assumably the thyroid cartilage and has not changed, pain when swallowing (some days it's not noticable), pain in the area when turning my head certain ways, or swallowing something sometimes, and no reasonable explanation as to what exactly is going on.... What should I do?.... Anything?
