Is it normal for pain to flare up in the days following tv ultrasound?
Post Body

I've been dealing with painful/heavy periods for a very long time. My pain has been getting worse lately and is now pretty much all the time (not just when I have my period).

I went for a transvaginal ultrasound 2 days ago and found out that I have 2 uterine fibroids, a simple 2cm cyst on my right ovary, and a 4.5cm cyst on my left (which I was told looks like an endometriosis cyst). The larger one was there when I had an ultrasound back in 2021 but was 2.5-3cm back then and I was told it would likely go away on its own, but it did not.

The last couple of days I feel like my pain has gotten even worse (pelvic and low back). Is it normal for this to happen after an ultrasound? Is it just my imagination since now I know what I'm dealing with?
