Significant hx of mental illnesses, Borderline being the most predominant. Is wanting to commit suicide often normal for people who have BPD?
Post Body

29F, hx of major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety, insomnia, borderline personality disorder, possible bipolar 2 and PTSD.

This is the umpteenth time that I can think of that I have thought about suicide. I had a major attempt in October of last year which nearly killed me, a “decent” attempt in March of this year and now it’s back on my mind. Usually they’re just fleeting thoughts but this is seriously occupying my thoughts. I’m struggling with a lot. I lost three people last year including my mom and the love of my life. I just lost touch with my only living close relative, my sister, whom refuses to talk to me. I’m struggling financially. I’m just curious if suicidal thoughts are “normal” per se for someone with borderline personality disorder or if something else could be going on?
