Hello all, 30yo, M ,74kg, 1.76m I've had a sudden burst of pustules on my face and neck, I have no recent history of acne, justo woke up past monday and had tons of pimples all over my face. I've até a lot of junk food on that particular weekend which could be related, but I do that on some weekends and never had this happen. I was a Holliday so I could not get an appointment with a dermatologist and went to the ER there they prescribed me 7 days of cefalexine and told me to visit a dermatologist.

Yesterday, three days after I've started the antibiotics, I was able to go to the dermatologist who told me to stop taking cefalexine as it was too bad on my body and not good for skin conditions.he told me to start taking another antibiotic miecicline or something like that. It is a tetracycline analogue.

Now I'm feeling unsure if I should take as the other prescription was wrong. I have already stopped taking the cefalexine, and afraid I may create some sort of super bacteria inside me.

So the thing is, what could cause such a burst of pustules? And what to do regarding the antibiotics? Keep taking cefalexine, start taking the other drug, Im só confused :(
