Painful lower back/hip-should I go to emerg?
Post Body

29 years old, female, 5'5", 160lbs, non smoker, only medication I take is birth control

Hello all, I've been having back pain for over a year now on and off. I routinely receive massage treatments (every six weeks or so) to keep things at bay. She has suggested I ask my family doctor about xrays/ultrasound since it's been persistent for some tome I can mostly function normally, I just do so with caution so I don't make it worse. Usually a convex position (think yoga pose Cow/arching) causes a tight/pulling feeling in my lower back/tailbone area.

Last week I started noticing pain around the back of my right hip. It came and went, but was different, more sharp than my normal pain.

Yesterday (saturday) I woke up with terribly pain of that hip area, it feels like it wraps around the side of my body too. The pain is like a burning...it feels similar to a sunburn but in my tissues, that is constant. If I move the wrong way though then there is sharp pain. These movements include any twisting, concave posture (like yoga Cat pose, bowing the back out) or if I look down I can feel it pull. I have a brace on and have been taking acetaminophen fairly regularly which helps a bit but it's still very much present. The pain is enough that it's making me nauseous.

I'm debating going to see a doctor today...what do you think? Any idea what these symptoms might mean?

Thank you

Tldr: lower back/right hip pain-no obvious trigger cause.

Burning feeling

Can't bow back out/lean over or I get a sharp pinch

Can't look down

Pain causing nausea

Pain killers hardly helping

Does not hurt to touch (at least if I palpate)
