Hey there, before you downvote and ignore this, please read.
Monday, I had a traumatic fall (this was written Friday night). I was drunk and I missed one step and landed face first on marble. I broke two teeth. I’ll be honest, not my finest moment. The rest of the night was kind of a blur. I remember going to a clinic but not a doctor. They did minor manipulation and said they’ve done what they could do and I needed to see a dentist when I got back to the states (was out the country). I called a doctor on demand line, provided through my company and they basically cleared me and told me to go to a dentist as well. 24 hours later, I was back in the states.
48 hours later, I got my teeth fixed. The dentist did X-rays of my teeth and lip and did manual manipulations. Ultimately she gave me amoxicillin because I had cut open my lip by biting through it. She didn’t say much of else that wasn’t teeth related. Today I went to my pcp expecting an appointment with him, but there was a nurse practitioner who was useless and basically gave me a doctors note and said she’d only excuse me from work for two days. I practically had to beg her to look at my lip, in which she said would just resolve its self and then left. Didn’t even tell her about the amoxicillin.
So my question is, should I be concerned that no one thinks I should follow up with a md? Like even the night of the fall, no one checked me for a concussion. Obvi I’m alive and walking. Aside from minor jaw pain and a couple headaches, I’m okay. I’m surprised I didn’t get X-rays or something
