(21F) currently on Suboxone, amitriptyline and clonidine. Also take cinnamon and vinegar vitamins for high blood sugar. No serious medical conditions, just being treated for chronic migraines, and opioid addiction from which I have been clean for over 5 years.
I keep having what I can only describe as mini seizures, where it literally feels like my brain is being electrocuted, minus the pain. My eyes roll back and audio cuts out, and I suddenly can't feel anything. I'm not sure if my body is moving involuntarily or as a result of my moving as it started. But they only last 2 seconds or so. I probably have 2 or 3 of these every day, usually in the evening never the morning. I keep writing it off and downplaying it mainly because it's only 2ish seconds, and I hate going to doctors due to fear of them looking at me as just an addict. I will also have random muscle spams where my entire body will spasm at once, also in the evening when I'm in a seated/laying position.
In addition to this, since I've been clean I've experienced narcolepsy type symptoms where I will randomly fall asleep, or suddenly not be able to remain awake in class and other places despite a good night of sleep. This is usually a few times a day at school and work. Once while driving, and even once while I was at a rock concert and in some other inappropriate settings. My memory is extremely bad now as well, I struggle to remember basic events of the past 8 years, including years I've been clean. All of this started either during my addiction or right after I got sober. Is it possible that it could be a result of some sort of brain damage due to my severe addiction to fentanyl from ages 14-16? Or long term suboxone use? I'm currently awaiting results of a sleep study because of this but the weird seizure type things are starting to become more concerning and harder to downplay. Please if anyone has any advice as to whether this sounds like something or sounds serious (beyond what a doctor would fluff me off) for let me know. Thank you.
