What’s the treatment for a possible DVT?
Post Body

29F, hx of bilateral PE’s with a DVT in 2019. Factor five Leiden. On Eliquis but haven’t taken the second daily dose in ages due to forgetting at night. (Bad patient, I understand)

I’m a little concerned about another possible DVT. My right ankle is swollen pretty decently, painful, red, and has pitted edema. My left ankle is slightly swollen with no pitted edema. I have been standing all day at my job so I understand that can be a contributing factor but I stand every day at my job and most of the time my ankles don’t swell. If the swelling doesn’t go down overnight with elevation, should I go to urgent care? What would be the treatment for another possible DVT since I’m already on blood thinners? I’ve had a scare in the past and went to the ED and they told me the treatment would just be staying on my blood thinners.
