Medication causing sexual changes a serious side effect?
Post Body

I am going to bring this up with my doctor the next time that I see them, but I am trying to work through how I feel about it so that I can express myself correctly.

I was started on some new medication for my OCD (clomipramine) and I believe that it is causing a reduction of sexual desire and a near inability to orgasm.

I usually have a higher libido than any of my past partners, but it’s dropped just below my current’s. So, in a way it’s somewhat equalized us in that respect.

I find that I can orgasm if I completely abstain from masturbation and reduce the amount of times I have sex. It still takes quite a while and I somewhat fear it’s not great for my heart, since I have higher blood pressure.

So, beyond bring it up, is it a serious side effect? I have mixed feelings about it. I am 37 AMAB. I have OCD, ADHD, BPD, Anxiety and have a TBI.
