So I spent my entire life sick, and fatigued. Sometimes I was even bedridden. I'd gone to the doctor about it many times over my life, even being prescribed anti-depressants for it lol. I ate eggs every single day. One day, by pure luck, I had something other than eggs for breakfast, and didn't eat any egg products. I noticed that I wasn't sick. I didn't have my usual headache behind the eyes, my eyes weren't watery, I could breath through my nose, I wasn't coughing, and I actually had energy to function in my life.
So I did some testing, and avoided all egg products completely. My quality of life improved exponentially, in my freaking 30s. I tried a breakfast burrito, BAM, sick before lunch time. I tried egg whites and spinach another time, once again, sick shortly after. I've experimented enough that I know that even having a small piece of cake, or a sandwich with mayonnaise on it, will mess my day right up. I have to completely avoid anything with eggs in it at all.
This is interesting to me, because it's essentially head cold symptoms of varying intensity. There is no gastro distress (or even an effect, as far as I can tell), there is no anaphylactic symptoms other than a cough. Allergy meds don't really help, if I'm in that situation I basically just have to ride the day out and eat smarter tomorrow. Does this make sense as an allergy? Or is it a symptom of some other type of intolerance?? I'd like to understand this a little bit better.
