Hi all,
I’m 29F, 5’9”, 275lbs, in Texas
Wednesday morning I went to the hospital due to struggling to breathe, a rash, sore/swollen throat, and severe dehydration. I got diagnosed with walking pneumonia, given saline, steroids, antibiotics, etc, and at the end of the day given a choice of home with oral meds (amoxicillin-claimants and azithromychin) or stay. I chose home and they told me if I don't get better/get worse, come back. I’ve been taking those on schedule, Benadryl for the rash, and Tylenol as needed.
Today I've had a fever all day (it's low grade after Tylenol) and have coughed up phlegm every few minutes and my lung capacity is usually between 30-80%, however, I woke up from a nap earlier coughing and felt like I was choking because I only had about 10% capacity and kept trying to use it to cough so I could breathe.
Now Im wondering: should I play it safe and go back, or wait to see how I feel in the morning? Am I worse, or am I just in a not-so-fun part of getting better? please note: I don't have insurance, so that also adds to my indecisiveness.
Thanks in advance!
