Is Asthma the whole story?
Post Body

Hi all,

36M in the UK. 6ft3 and 95kg.

I used to take Sertraline but I came off it 2 weeks ago. I take Omaprazole and a brown Asthma inhaler.

For about 2 months, I’ve felt… weird.

Sometimes I feel like I’m short of breath. Sometimes my heart is pounding. Sometimes my stomach or chest or throat hurts and I’m gassy. These rarely happen at the same time.

For background, I slipped a disc 15 months ago and have just really started to be in a position where it’s not bothering me daily(no surgery). I also sometimes have an irritated bladder but this seems to have died down since I cut back on caffeine.

And I’m tired - from about 2pm the last 3 days I’ve been so tired.

I went to the GP (UK) and they prescribed me Omaprazole for my stomach, and booked and asthma test. I had asthma as a child but not suffered with it for 20 years. The test was apparently just enough to be positive so I’ve had a steroid inhaler for a week or so.

Nothing seems to be getting any better, and I don’t feel bad enough to go to A&E, or even to bother the GP - plus it’s hard taking time off work for it.
