So basically I have a fractured 5th metacarpal thatâs dislocated. But during prep I got my iv and blood kinda got everywhere and they got it in still with tape. Replaced the blanket, not the sheets. Everytime I would move my arm it would hurt, Iâve had many ivs prior. I told them, they said itâs fine and itâs dripping. They brought me to the surgery room, start the anesthesia and my arm is on fire, burning, stabbing all the way to my shoulder. I start cussing up a storm because they wouldnât take the iv out. They keep saying I wonât feel it in a minute. Itâs 10 mins later they listen and removed the iv my arms in the worst pain Iâve ever felt in my life. I squeeze her hand w my broken hand so hard and that didnât even hurt. 20 mins later they poked me 11 times. Why did this pain occur? It wasnât just the needle. And why wouldnât they tell me what was happening or listen to me. That pain was unbearable.
