Just want to know what happened during prep for surgery, thank you!

So basically I have a fractured 5th metacarpal that’s dislocated. But during prep I got my iv and blood kinda got everywhere and they got it in still with tape. Replaced the blanket, not the sheets. Everytime I would move my arm it would hurt, I’ve had many ivs prior. I told them, they said it’s fine and it’s dripping. They brought me to the surgery room, start the anesthesia and my arm is on fire, burning, stabbing all the way to my shoulder. I start cussing up a storm because they wouldn’t take the iv out. They keep saying I won’t feel it in a minute. It’s 10 mins later they listen and removed the iv my arms in the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. I squeeze her hand w my broken hand so hard and that didn’t even hurt. 20 mins later they poked me 11 times. Why did this pain occur? It wasn’t just the needle. And why wouldn’t they tell me what was happening or listen to me. That pain was unbearable.
