Recent massive uptick in vasectomy appointments. Is this people being responsible or people shirking their responsibility to procreate? Other reasons?

It used to be that using birth control was a sign of responsibility. But I’ve also seen some claim it’s an abandonment of one’s responsibility to procreate. I’m interested to know the conservative view on recent upticks in vasectomies.
