Are lawmakers behind the curve on tech laws?
Post Body

I'm wondering what your opinions are of lawmakers being seemingly out of touch with modern tech. It seems legislation is lagging behind greatly in this area in my opinion.

Some things I'd like to see be addressed are.

  1. Right to repair: if I own something I should be able to fix it myself. Be it a vehicle or an electronic or a piece of equipment.

  2. Loot boxes is games: this really just seems like high key gambling and should have more legislation to protect kids from becoming addicted to it from an early age.

  3. Games being "sunset": what this means is games that are now "games as a service" or online only games are being shut down because the publisher no longer feels like supporting the game. This means that even though somebody could have bought a physical copy of the game it is still rendered 100% useless and is now trash.
