Iโm a senior in high school with a few months left before i go to collage. Right now im on the fence between CS and Engineering. Personally i like learning a million different things while solving problems in the tangible world. I enjoy solving logistical issues as well. Im more interested in science than i am in math, I can memorize anything with ease and think creativity. I donโt know which career to pursue because they both seem like fields that could could satisfy my interests.
I was considering CS because of its applicability to the tangible world and because of the pay, work environment, and job availability.
I was considering Mechanical Engineering (maybe with a focus of BioMedical Devices) because it lines up with what i wanted to do since i was a kid.
The main reason why im struggling to decide is because i love designing and solving the types of issues mentioned before, however, after taking an engineering class in my freshman year of high school, i quickly realized i hated the math portion of it, and it seems that engineering is A LOT of math and less creativity. I hated how many processes i had to follow because i just wanted to work on the big picture first rather than the nitty gritty of things. With CS i feel like i would be able to learn and apply fairly quickly.
If anyone can help guide me in the right direction based on my internists and experience please reply :)
