Hello Everyone! Late last year I started an interview process for a role with the City and to my surprise the interview process went surprisingly well and efficient for a government agency. As I began moving through the process and submitting the proper documents to begin the new hire/ onboarding process I was optimistic that this would be a quick turn around due to my experience with the interview process. This week marks a little over two months that I’ve been waiting to hear back regarding my background check. The times I have spoken with someone they’ve told me that they were delayed due to the holidays which I completely understand and later I was told that there’s just a delay.
It has gotten to a point where I started applying and interviewing at other organizations because I just don’t know when I can expect to hear back. Has anyone been through a similiar situation or have any advice for me on how to handle this limbo period. Thank you all for reading.
