Based on the information we have after decades of North American city growth, we know that urban sprawl is absolutely terrible for a city that wishes to thrive.
I'm considering moving to the prairies but I want to live somewhere with an environmentally considerate plan that's people focused.
Climate change will warm the area, but is any city also putting in an effort to curb urban sprawl and be walkable/bike friendly with a sustainable future?
I'm currently in Winnipeg short term for work and it's dreadful. I've already asked r/regina and it's not looking good either. I used to live near Calgary and know it's big on sprawl too. Are the prairies a wasteland of poor city design?
Thanks for the (hopefully) civil responses and discussion they lead to!
