Are Bibles in your hotel night stands or is that just my country?

In my country there's Bibles inside the draw of the nightstand (next to the bed) at every hotel. It's a cultural thing I guess. I have not found a hotel that does not do this. I always wondered if this is a thing in the UK.

I work in hospitality and I am not aware of a single accommodation provider in my area that has Bibles; we have, however, been contacted by suppliers as to whether we want some and they did not seem very surprised to be told “no”.
