New, first time Battlestation.
Post Body

Hello! I've been a long-time PC builder but have just gotten into everything that goes along with work spaces. I've seen some pretty cool things on /r/battlestation, so I wanted to get some advice on some basics. I just picked up a Bekant desk from Ikea (birch veneer/white) and their Markus chair because it was on sale. This is a much bigger workspace than I'm used to having so I wanted to explore my options for upgrading my battlestation.

Are there any essentials that you all recommend? I eventually plan on grabbing a second monitor (hello, Christmas!) and I've been thinking about a monitor stand for my primary monitor. I'm also pretty new when it comes to cable management (desktop cables; the cables inside my box are on lock) so I'm curious about things of that nature as well.

Basically I'm looking for advice on battlestation setup, desktop organization, etc., rather than specific peripherals. If the specific peripherals I already have (mouse, keyboard) would be helpful I can post those in an edit when I get home. Thanks in advance for your advice!
