KVM or something else..

Hopefully not beating this to death, but my goal is to seamlessly switch between my desktop PC and Macbook pro while using all of the usb accessories for either.
I have a USB hub which I could use to connect to both (via a KVM or just USB switch) but also want to be able to switch both monitors over to the correct input quickly. I had difficulties when trying a KVM with this setup initially and hoping for some advice on easiest (and ideally cheapest) way to set this up.
Any help is appreciated!
