Caster wheels vs floor mat for office chair on hardwood?
Post Body

I’m honestly confused. I have hardwood and bought a plastic floor mat for my office chair off Amazon. I guess pieces of debris got under it and it left these deep scratches on my new hardwood floors despite best efforts to sweep the floor. Then I read through previous threads and many people say to go with castor wheels but apparently these can scratch the floors too over a long period of time.

Should I be using a different type of floor mat? The underside of this one is a little sticky and I’ve already ruined the flooring in two rooms. I would prefer to use a mat but I don’t want to keep ruining my floors.

Appreciate any advice.
