I have my pc in one room, but sometimes I want to sit on my couch for controller based games (single player/non competitive, more relaxed etc). My plan is to just run a long hdmi (needs to be longer than 25 feet) and a usb extender from the pc, through a crawl space, and to the other room with my tv. I have an active usb extender that reaches, so that should be covered. For hdmi, I’m not sure if I should get a 50 foot hdmi cable, look into hdmi to cat5 or cat6, or something else entirely. I’ve heard there could be losses at that length, but I am unsure if I should be concerned. if so, I’m just not sure the cheapest way to mitigate the loses. Bonus questions, with the usb extender in my couch room, would it be possible to have a Bluetooth dongle on it to connect a ps5 controller? Or do I need to have a long usb c cable from extender to controller? Also when I’m at my desk is there a way to have my computer “ignore” the couch room screen without unplugging the hdmi cable?
