Different Cookie, Same Recipe

I made two batches of cookies with the same recipe, but the second one (left) came out worse. I might have been sloppier on the baking soda, and I used about 9 grams too much butter. I prefer the right batch. What went wrong? Also, I know the cookies are not very evenly cooked; this was done in the toaster oven.
