Freezing fresh mulberries for a later pie?

Post Body
I just made a mulberry pie that was delicious and have enough mulberries for another pie but I want to wait a few weeks before doing that so I can share it with others at that time. But by that time there will be no more fresh mulberries available from my tree.
So can I put the mulberries in plastic bags and freeze them and use them in the pie then? Will it be as good or any issues with this? Or is there a better approach?
