Are cookies supposed to be soft right out the oven?

So i made some cookies and i baked them at 180c for 10 minutes (video said 8-12) and when i took them out i pressed my finger in one and it was really airy and my finger just went right in. Will they be actually easy to eat after a while?

Ingridients:

100g butter 150g brown sugar 1 egg Beat till combined

On a sep bowl 190g flour Half tsp Baking powder Half tsp vanillin

Pour half the dry to the wet beat and repeat

Fridge for abt 10-12 mins

Bake at 180 for 10-12
