Using chocolate that's been melted and re-solidified in the freezer?

Post Body

Recently I melted down some dark and semi sweet chocolate chips together to make candy bars, and whatever chocolate was left over I scraped into a plastic container and put it in the freezer.

They weren't "officially" tempered obviously, they were just generic Aldi brand chocolate chips that I melted in the microwave. But I'm wondering if it's possible to chop up the block of frozen leftover chocolate into chunks, and then stir those chunks into chocolate chip cookie dough?

Will they still keep their shape in the cookies while baking or just melt into chocolate puddles?
