I use the below recipe for my chocolate chip cookies, and they are great. Iām fairly new to baking and want to make Chocolate Caramel Pecan cookies using caramel chips.
My question is: can I add unsweetened cocoa powder to the below recipe, substitute chocolate chips for caramel chips, and hope for a good turnout? Or do I need to radically alter my recipe?
Recipe
1 cup cold butter cut into small pieces
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups cake flour
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk chocolate chips
