How to add maple syrup to a recipe ?

Post Body

Hi everyone!

So I have my fave choc chip brown butter cookie recipe and I want to add maple syrup to it to make maple choc pecan flavour without changing the recipe too much. However if I just straight up add maple syrup the consistency will change, probably too liquid. So what else would I need to add and / or remove to be able to add like 80g maple syrup? I guess a little less sugar and or a touch more flour. Recipe calls for 280g flour, 170g butter and 300g sugar.

Any ideas? Thanks! :D
