Hello! I am currently in the process of perfecting my cookie (sugar and chocolate chip) recipe, and was looking for some tips from more experienced bakers.
Taste and texture wise, my cookies are very tasty. However, one thing that always irritates me is that they do spread a bit, and I want them to have the appearance of a nice and round cookie - like the ones you see advertised in bakeries.
I’m not sure if I’m overthinking the appearance of my cookies, but I want to get to a point where I can sell them, and despite the yummy taste, I can’t help but feel like they don’t look good enough to sell.
For my recipe, I do melt the butter. I know that this is likely the culprit for my spreading cookies, but I do feel like this also contributes to the yummy taste and soft and chewy texture of the cookies.
So, my question is: is there a way to keep this taste and texture that I and others enjoy, while also keeping the cookies in a nice and round shape while baking?
Thank you for any tips or tricks!
