Going on a camping trip at the end of this month, and I figured why not try to take a few pictures. I've only tried pictures of stars in the sky with no foreground at all, and the outcome of the stars weren't terrible however due to the lack of landscape I didn't like the photos too much.
Are there any special steps required for landscape, or is it pretty much the same steps as if I were pointing my camera straight up at the sky?
I've also seen landscape pictures that have the foreground as dark silhouettes, would that be achieved in post?
