Anyone considered moving to a location with better conditions?

The more I get into the hobby, I find myself scrolling Trulia to see what rent would be like in the high desert of Colorado or New Mexico, or anywhere with better conditions for astrophotography.
Has anyone considered relocating purely for that reason? Or have you actually done it? While we’re at it, where in the U.S. would you go if you were going to move?

Sure have considered it!
If I leave Cyprus and return to UK, location is on the checklist, dark skies was the compromise with the wife for returning.
