East Coast Milky Way Shooters

Just looking for some input and possibly some fellow milky way shooters. I am based out of central Virginia and looking for new places to shoot. I normally shoot down in the Outer Banks just for ease of access to dark skies. I know Virginia has some dark sky parks but I have never found anything about after hours access to them unless there is a star party going on.
Anyone have any recommendations for some new spots. Closer to central Va would be great but I know the light pollution kills most of that.
