I was in a tech company where I was denied a promotion in march '23 (saturn moving in 10th I think) and was fed up with stagnating work and toxic boss. So I left and started grad school last fall in another country. Ever since I've come here I've just felt more lonely, and have faced misfortunes like getting my hand broken, not having any part-time job to support myself, no true friend circle, no relatives. I have worked to upskill myself, but still struggling to get an internship for this summer. I'm graduating in may 2025 and terrified of not a getting job. Should I stay in academia and maybe get a phd or should I go back to work (in tech) as soon as I graduate?
