Hi everyone!

This may be an incredibly specific situation, I’m not actually sure. It seems like for some, they’ve always just known they’re asexual, for others it took a bit longer to realize that they were.

I’ve read a few posts on Reddit asexual forums that are more along the lines of “I thought I was too young to be sexually attracted to people and thought it would happen eventually” or “Sometimes I would masturbate or watch porn so I didn’t think I could be ace”.

So I guess I’m wondering, for those of you that took a while to realize you were ace, what were the reasons you continued to question and doubt that you were for as long as you did?
