Best place to live as an LGBTQ+?

Hello! I might be moving to Australia for work next year and I'd like to know which is the best place to live that has a good amount of queer people and queer events.
I'm from Southeast Asia so I'm looking at Sydney(Newtown mostly) or Brisbane as my top 2, climate-wise. But for community(and maybe for dating too?), I'm not sure which is best.
Looking for recommendations.
