Jobs in childcare
Post Body

I'm about to start a Certificate III course in childcare. The course goes for around 6 months and I am hoping to find paid work as soon as I get the certificate. I have no previous experience working with children. What can I do to increase my chances of finding a job? People that I've talked to have suggested volunteering but I have no idea what kind of volunteering roles there are and I tried searching volunteer websites but couldn't find anything related to childcare.

I have to do a work placement as part of the course anyway and this is unpaid. Would this count as experience or should I try to find a volunteer position? Or should I just focus on completing the course and hope for the best?
